News on the String Theory Front

So, what has String Theory been up to recently?

Well, we’ve been gearing up for our performance for the Ontario Home School Fair, coming up in a couple weeks on Memorial Day, and we’ve been very much looking forward to our awesome performance opportunity at the renowned Sawdust Festival in July! Also, there’s been talk of potentially heading out to our “old stomping grounds” at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica sometime in June… ๐Ÿ˜‰

But the most exciting (and overwhelmingly awesome) project at which we’ve been diligently hammering away, as it were, is the creation of our very first, full-length, all-original String Theory Quartet album! We are bound and determined to have it ready to sell at our Sawdust Festival gig at the end of July, and we’ve even talked of selling on iTunes as well…

As we all regularly come into the studio to record — one at a time, week by week — and watch (and hear) these pieces quickly and masterfully come together, little by little, this project becomes an exhilarating reality. And, as always, String Theory’s got something highly unique and unexpected to offer, even in regard to the original String Theory tunes you already know and love…believe me, we’re taking it all to a whole other “plane of existence”… ย Wait’ll you hear what we have in store for you!

As a little teaser, here’s a rough list of just a few of the tunes we’re working on for the album right now:

  • Forest of Cedars
  • Dance at Clonmacnoise
  • Candy
  • Personal Echo
  • The Road
  • For A Day
  • Don’t Cryin’ To Me
  • First Dance
  • Christmas Morning
  • Sonata Moderna
  • Under the Influence

You can listen to some of these same tunes as live demos at our Audio page and watch live performances on our Videopage, to appease your senses in the meantime…We’ve also decided that, right after we finish constructing this album, we’ll be diving right into our first music video project… just in time for the fast-approaching holiday season… ๐Ÿ˜‰

At this point, we want to give our vocalist/bassist/guitarist/all-around-uber-creative-and-enlightened-person Ken Glaser special thanks, for suggesting, spearheading, and organizing this entire project! Thank you for your vision, dedication, passion, knowledge, and creativity! ๐Ÿ˜€

…Looking forward to great things to come!…
